The established connection
Petronet’s 2024–25 annual report describes LNG imports from Ras Laffan to Dahej under its long-term Qatar supply arrangement. EIA records Qatar as the principal source of LNG moving through Hormuz in 2024. This is imported LNG, with its own purchase and regasification arrangements; the PPAC nomination-field APM ceiling is a separate domestic-gas measure.

Why it matters in this edition
Analysis · Edition 12 Sept 2026
Dahej’s imported LNG belongs to a different supply and contract chain from ONGC/OIL nomination-field APM gas. The September $9 notified domestic rate and $7 APM ceiling cannot price a Qatar cargo or quantify its delivered cost. Check the applicable LNG contract and regasification charges separately.
September’s $9 gas rate is not a universal selling price. ↗Inspect the supporting evidence
